BOWLING FUNDRAISING TIPS

Get started today and see how much you can raise to help support Life!

It’s easy to fundraise, especially when you:

• Keep your sponsor sheet with you – in your purse or pocket

• Keep a Bowling collection box on your desk– or in a convenient place

• Send an e-mail explaining your participation in Bowling For Babies to all your friends and family and ask them to forward your request for support to their friends and family

Make small changes in your lifestyle such as:

• Giving up one cup of coffee or sweet per week, putting the savings into your Bowling fund

• Taking a bag lunch to work / school and contribute the money saved, and ask others to do the same

• Rent one less video or DVD per week and donate the savings

• Ask people to put spare change into the collection box

• Ask 10 people for $5 or 5 people for $10

• Ask your employer to match the funds that you raise

• Ask your employees to contribute as a group or to form a Bowling fundraising team

• Ask the first person to sign your donation sheet for a significant contribution - $25, $50 or $100 – then challenge subsequent donors to match it

 

For those who ask what we do, you can inform them that we serve the community in five basic ways:

 

1. Prevention:  We share with thousands of youth in local schools and youth groups about how to have strong relationships in preparation for marriage by building relationships on a spiritual foundation.

2. Intervention: We support people who go through unexpected pregnancy to educate them and encourage positive options.  We offer free pregnancy tests, baby clothes and baby care items.

3. Restoration: We supply a safe place for those struggling with having had an abortion and lead them through a study of the Bible called, "Forgiven and Set Free."

4. Adoption Promotion:  We seek to promote adoption as a positive option and work to inform people of the new open adoption options available now to birth parents and adoptive parents.

5. Parenting Support: We support the parenting process from prenatal to raising teens.

All of this is done from a Biblical, Christian perspective in a way that seeks to build up the local church and be a bridge from the streets to the local church.
